Fee scales allow you as a Panel Manager to see all the fees in one place.

Fee scales allow you as a Panel Manager to see all the fees in place for combinations with your law firms and agencies.
To set up a fee scale, go to the fee scale icon on the left of your dashboard:
You will see the fee scales as Live, Archived, Template, and Grid.
Live
Here you can see all your current live fee scales that are set up.
You will be able to see the Referrer, Law firm, whether a deposit is collected, if a template is applied, the status, how many quotes have been made and instructed under this scale, and the last edited date.
Status:
Publishing Pending = when a new fee scale has not yet been published for the first time
Edits pending = When a fee scale that has been publish has new edits made, so the updated version is not yet published
Live = all fees are up to date and published on the system.
Archived
Here you can see any inactive scales that have been archived
Templates
Here you can create and edit templates so that you can set up your fee scales much easier!
You can create templates for your law firms with all their fees and then make a template with additional fees for any agencies that you will be linking to those law firms
Note that third party profit shares can only be edited by the Homey team.
Grid
Here you can see a visual representation of all the links between your agencies and law firms

Now let’s look into this in a bit more detail starting with how we create a fee.
Creating a fee:

Above is how the fee scales will look on set up when you click “add fee”. Now let’s look at how we add each fee type.
Legal fee:
This is the standard law firm fees, e.g. the fees for each transaction type at the different price bands.
Select “Legal Fee”.
Add the price (Excl. VAT)
Tick “Vatable” and “By default”
Add the price range
Select the transaction type
Leave the rest blank and press “create fee”
Referral fee:
This is the referral fee that will come up on the quote.
Select “Referral Fee”
Add the price (Excl. VAT)
Tick “Vatable” and “By default”
Add the price range
Select the transaction type
Leave the rest blank and press “create fee”
Supplemental Legal fee:
These are the extra legal fees that can be added to the quotes, such as a leasehold fee, gifter fee, mortgage fee etc.
Select “Supplemental Legal Fee”
Add the name of the fee
Add the price (Excl. VAT)
Tick “Vatable” and deselect “By Default”
Go down to Transaction condition - if the fee is present in the drop down menu under “Value”, select it here.
If it is not, then leave this value blank.
Press “create fee”.
Third Party fees:
These are the additional fees for disbursements, such as ID, Office copy entries, and search packs. This is also where you can choose which fees drive the initial deposit/MoA.
Select “Third Party Fee”
Add the price (Excl. VAT)
Tick “Vatable” and “By default”
If this fee needs to be paid on deposit, select payment timing as “instruction”. If not, leave as “completion”.
Select the transaction type.
Where some fees are paid to Homey, e.g. File Setup Fee, the Homey Support team will amend the profit shares as per your contractual agreements.
Press “create fee”.
Note: As a user, you are unable to edit the profit shares yourself, and this will need to be done by a member of the Homey team. Should you have any queries, please contact support@homey.co.uk.
